As Myanmar fell back into the grips of military rule following a successful coup d'état on Monday, concern has been raised over the impact this would have on minority groups in the troubled Southeast-Asian country. Further scrutiny has also been placed on neighbouring Bangladesh and its policy towards ethnic cleansing next door, as plans for the return of Rohingyan refugees fell into jeopardy after the coup.
